Minot has contracted with O’Donnell & Associates to update assessed values for April 1, 2011. The program utilizes O’Donnell assessment software that was first implemented in a 2003 revaluation. The 2011 program will include visits to improved properties. Minot has retained O’Donnell & Associates for tax mapping and/or tax assessing for 35 years.
Maine Revenue Services (MRS) utilizes O’Donnell’s Property Tax Manager software for tax billing and collections in the Unorganized Territory. MRS recently contracted with O’Donnell Associates to have the software rewritten in a vb.net framework.
The program utilizes O’Donnell’s assessment software. The Town will purchase the O’Donnell/Trio software interface from Harris Computer Systems. When the equalization is complete Acton intends to provide assessing information online through O’Donnell’s online assessing service. The Town is also working on a document library that will be associated with the assessment database and available to
The Town of Jay has consolidated contract assessing services with O’Donnell & Associates. The Town will benefit from the company’s ability to execute the work in a timely fashion. The company’s knowledge of Maine tax increment financing districts, tax exemption, and tax reimbursement programs will help protect the Town’s financial interests.
The Town’s first property tax maps will be in digital format. The Board of Selectmen/Assessors will conduct their own tax assessing and use O’Donnell Associates for professional guidance.
